What we do

Activities and Skills

Boy Scout Troop 1777 offers a wide variety of exciting, skill-building activities for young scouts. Our program focuses on adventure, personal growth, and developing valuable life skills through hands-on learning. Here are some of the key activities scouts can look forward to:

Camping Trips

Experience the great outdoors! Our scouts go on monthly camping trips where they learn how to set up tents, cook over a campfire, and safely enjoy nature. Campouts take place in national parks and local forests, offering both fun and adventure.

Hiking & Backpacking

Our LTL services are ideal for smaller shipments that don't require a full truck, providing a cost-effective option without sacrificing speed or reliability. Enjoy flexibility and savings, specifically tailored to your logistics needs and get in touch.

Canoeing & Kayaking

Water sports are a favorite among our scouts. They learn canoeing and kayaking techniques on local rivers and lakes or during Summer Camp, focusing on teamwork, water safety, and the importance of protecting the environment.

First Aid & Emergency Prep.

Troop 1777 trains scouts in vital first aid skills. From treating minor injuries to performing CPR, scouts are prepared for emergencies both in the wilderness and at home.

Knot Tying & Pioneering

Mastering essential knots is a key scouting skill. Scouts practice knot tying to build camp structures like bridges, towers, and shelters. This activity teaches problem-solving and teamwork.

Fire Building & Cooking

Scouts learn fire-building techniques and how to safely cook meals over an open flame. These activities promote self-reliance and give scouts a taste of life in the wild.
